Am I eligible to study at Eastern?
If English is not your first language you are required to demonstrate sufficient ability to study an Australian Higher Education award. To assess your language capacity, Eastern requires an IELTS Academic Version Test which can be taken from most locations in the world. We also accept TOFEL and Pearson tests.
To locate an assessor near your location, visit their websites to book and sit this test. You will need to provide us with a copy of your English test, preferably with your application to study at Eastern College Australia.
If you are applying from overseas and require an English test to be completed, we cannot accept you as a student until we have this test in hand. You will not be eligible to apply for a student visa until you are accepted as a student.
Please refer to the English Language requirements of each course for the level of English Language proficiency required.
All students enrolled in the Initial Teacher Education courses (listed below) will be required to complete a Working
With Children Check (WWCC) prior to commencing their professional experience. Overseas students can obtain the WWCC after arriving in Australia.
