This unit commences by defining leadership within the youth sector and identifying the key dimensions of leadership in general. Key theories and models of leadership are explored and evaluated from a Christian worldview perspective. Examination extends to a variety of leadership characteristics that are then applied to the individual conceptualising their personal leadership attributes. These personal leadership attributes are then examined in how they relate to broader youth sector leadership. At the conclusion of the unit, the student is expected to be able to analyse, describe and assess leadership principles from a general perspective as well as a specifically Christian perspective.
