Born in Hobart, Iona grew up in a rural Tasmanian town, in a Christian home and attended the local Anglican Church with her family. She can not remember a time where the love of God was not shared with her, shown to her, or known by her. Iona remembers giving her life to Christ as an 11 year old, and from there received lots of opportunities to serve and lead in ministry. Moving to Melbourne at 19 helped her to discern the Lord’s leading personally in her life. Since living in Melbourne she has attended a number of different Churches of various evangelical denominations which has only grown her love for the Church and broadened her understanding of God’s work in and through His people. Iona’s studies in Theology at MST have helped her to solidify her knowledge of the faith, and equipped her to better communicate and teach the Scriptures with confidence and clarity, while still in humble adoration of all there is yet to learn of our great God!
