History at Eastern seeks to take students on a journey of discovery and exploration of the riches of history. Studying history will develop critical thinking, research, reading and writing skills and challenge students’ beliefs about Christians and their contribution to the world stage. Students will learn to analyse and assess a great diversity of evidence, data, opinion and perspective. These are invaluable intellectual and practical life skills, with immediate relevance in most careers.
