MEET Alison
Alison was born in Vietnam and has lived in Costa Rica, Chile and Australia. She is fluent in Spanish.
After completing her initial undergraduate training at UTS (The University of Technology, Sydney), she was awarded a targeted graduate position, and began her Masters studies at UTS, majoring in literacy and music.
Alison has taught for over 20 years across Australia. She has held senior leadership positions across both the public and the private Christian school sectors, including as an Executive Teacher at a school for Indigenous students and as a specialist music and choral teacher at an IB (International Baccalaureate) school.
Alison has a special interest in curriculum development, literacy and working with students with additional needs. During her time working alongside her husband James in prison ministries, she wrote a character-based training course which is taught in prisons across Victoria.
Alison and her husband James both love animals and enjoy hiking.
