There are two photocopiers available for student use in the library.

The machine at the bottom of the stairs is coin operated. Directions are on the machine. If you need assisstance ask a librarian on duty.

The main student photocopier is located on the ground floor adjacent to the new journals display. This photocopier is designed to allow photocopying, printing and scanning using the PaperCut system. Photocopying is 15 cents a sheet, printing is 15 cents a sheet, doublesided is 30 cents a sheet and scanning is 5 cents per page.

5. Reducing the size of your photocopy

  1. To save money you can reduce the size of the original. i.e. so two pages of a book can fit on one A4 page. The photocopier recognizes anything that you place over the glass so only place the part of the original that you want photocopied over it. i.e. for A4 portrait copying place the original in the correct position, being careful not to go over the lines!!
  2. Place the book/pages in the photocopier horizontally (Red)
  3. Touch Copy Ratio 81% is usually a good reduction amount. If the original doesn’t fit, try 70%.
  4. Touch Done
  5. Touch Paper Select
  6. Select A4 R so the copying is landscape
  7. If the machine will not copy and it is not out of paper it is likely that there is insufficient value on your photocopy card.

Note: If the photocopier is out of paper or malfunctioning in any way do not attempt to fix it yourself, notify the staff member on duty of the problem immediately.
