Library Hours and Access

COVID-19 UPDATE: The MST & Eastern library is closed during the current COVID-19 lockdown however to assist students through the lockdown the library will be offering the following services:

  • Automatic renewal of loans that fall due during the lockdown period.
  • Scanning and emailing of journal articles or book chapters (within copyright limits).
  • Order and delivery service of books.

These services are available through the lockdown period from 9:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday. To use these services either email ( or call (9790-9215) the library with the following:

  • Student name and student number
  • Contact phone number
  • Book list with titles and call numbers
  • Preferred pick-up time

We also would like to remind students that there are many resources available electronically through Perlego, our EBSCO e-book collections, and the different full-text journal databases. If you would like to know more about, or need any assistance with accessing, these resources please contact the library.

The Collection

The Library at MST & Eastern contains over 118,000 items including: reference materials, books and audio-visual materials. In addition, the library also contains over 55,000 journal issues. The library services faculty and students of Melbourne School of Theology and Eastern College Australia, as well those from the public who take out individual membership.


Library and Online Databases

The Online Catalogue is available to search for items in the Library. Searches can be done for electronic material through our Online databases and Ebooks. You will need your Student ID and password.


Please refer to the policies section for more information on library policies for external borrowers. Within the library, there are catalogue terminals with free Wi-Fi. Non-student Resource Centre membership is available.
