EAST Alliance is a strategic relationship between Eastern College Australia and Stirling Theological College. In 2010 Stirling invited Tabor Victoria to move onto their campus at Jacksons Road Mulgrave. Tabor Victoria moved onto the campus and commenced operations in January 2011. As a result of the two colleges working together and sharing close proximity in many areas (library and resources services, property maintenance, café, seminars, signage, chapel services, staff devotions, etc.) and as a sign of the goodwill between the two colleges EAST Alliance was established.
Both colleges in EAST Alliance offer separate educational awards and while students and staff freely mix and share good relationships, formal study programs are taught separately. Eastern College Australia is a non-denominational Christian Private Higher Education and Vocational Education provider authorised by the Tertiary Education Quality Standards Agency (TEQSA). Eastern College Australia offers awards in Theology, Arts, Social Sciences and Education. Stirling Theological College is the Churches of Christ National Theological College and a Recognised Teaching Institution of the University of Divinity. Stirling offers coursework and research awards in theology and its related disciplines through the University of Divinity.
In summary, East Alliance is the relationship between two independent and separate colleges, Eastern College Australia and Stirling Theological College who, with goodwill, share a property and some operational activities.
