Power & Poverty Simulation

Registration is closed for this event

Hands

Join us for an incredibly valuable time of highlighting issues around power and poverty through a fun and interactive simulation! This learning experience is open to all MST-Eastern students and friends.

The game involves trading beads as currency. Some will be given much whilst some will have to survive on very few. Others may be given a lot of information whilst others are only provided very little information.

This game demonstrates the power and politics of those without a voice. It highlights the feelings of hopelessness and lack of freedom that is integral to poverty.

Come and join us for this simulation and consequent discussions that follow around power and poverty.
