Professional Experience Coordinator in Education
Sarah Michael is the Professional Experience Coordinator at Eastern and teaches in the Bachelor of Education (Primary) and Bachelor of Education (Secondary).
Sarah completed her BEd (Honours) in England and began her teaching career there. She has international experience in teaching, curriculum development and teacher mentoring, having worked in schools in India and Bangladesh before moving to Australia where she worked in a Christian independent school for many years. Before joining Eastern as a lecturer, Sarah worked in various capacities alongside class teaching, including School Curriculum Coordinator and Acting Primary School Coordinator. Sarah has particular interests in the management of educational change in response to advances in information technology, and in the ecology of classrooms and creating effective learning environments and experiences for all students.
In addition to being involved in her local church, Sarah enjoys exploring the great outdoors with her husband and two children, travelling to visit family overseas, reading and spending time with other people.
